Create something new for your home or garden or learn a new skill during one of Garden Expo’s hands-on workshops.

Advance registration for hands-on workshops is available at store.wigardenexpo.com through Monday, Feb. 5. During Garden Expo, registrations for remaining workshop openings will be taken at the Wisconsin Public Television booth.

Workshop fees include instruction and supplies. General admission ticket and parking must be purchased separately.

Did you know that plants like magnolias and ferns were around when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, surviving mass extinctions? Make a dino-mite prehistoric themed terrarium in this workshop. Each participant will make a 6-inch terrarium to take home. (2 hrs.)

3:00 Zen Desk Garden

Practiced since 900 A.D., Japanese Zen gardening is meant to bring calmness and focus to a landscape. Create a miniature Zen garden to bring peace to your space. Each participant will create a small desktop garden to take home. (2 hrs.)
