Gardening is a four season hobby of mine in Wisconsin. Designing, cultivating and harvesting for year round edible, decorative and sustainable wildlife habitats… allows for never ending creativity 🌻

Variegated Russian Comfrey was my go-to perennial in 2020. It’s foliage is eye-catching, it fills a space in your sunny garden and it competes well against those dog-gone weeds. Visitors often mistake it for a hosta – but, it’s better because deer leave it alone!

Adding new garden beds on a hillside can be challenging. This bed was created in May of 2020. I started with mostly perennial flowers, then added some ground cover and broken pots to help keep the dirt on the hillside. So far…so good. Happy Gardening.
