This is my garden surrounding the patio, which was my peaceful place in the summer of 2020. Daylilies and other lilies provide vibrant colors. Vary the height and plant several varieties for ongoing bloom.

Be kind to yourself, and grow plants that do well in your area and soil. Remember to stop and enjoy your garden. Take pictures!
My COVID-19 refuge of veggies and flowers!
Growing dwarf citrus trees inside my home keeps me happily gardening during the winter 🙂 The blossoms, especially lemon are wonderful!

I love to plant my garden so there is an array of colors and textures in the shade and the sun. This makes the garden a joy to see in the spring, summer and into the fall.
A potted garden is the most flexible option. It can be set up anywhere, and rearranging the garden is easy. Filling the pots with perennials ensures pot-fulls of colorful flowers that don’t need to be replanted every year. Packing straw and burlap around the pots will carry them through even a Wisconsin winter.

– Edith Wharton
