IPAW is a statewide volunteer organization dedicated to the identification and control of invasive terrestrial plants throughout Wisconsin. It works to educate and coordinate individuals and groups to deal with invasives, helping protect our state’s native species and natural heritage.
We plant food forests on public and private land. We also encourage DIY. Our goal is to inspire and assist individuals and organizations to grow their own food in community with one another.

The Wisconsin Daylily Society (WDS) is an organization of friendly folks dedicated to the love and promotion of daylilies. Founded in 1990 in Madison, it was the first daylily club formed in Wisconsin and is the largest of the three now in the state.
DATCP’s Bureau of Plant Industry protects Wisconsin’s environment and economy by regulating invasive plant pests and diseases on nursery stock, Christmas trees, logs and firewood; and by supporting pollinator and honey bee health. We also carry out control programs designed to prevent the spread of harmful pests such as spongy moth along the leading edge of its range.
We are an organization of people who grow irises and who train ourselves and others in propagating irises. Our main events are our annual iris sow, iris sale and banquet.
Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens is a volunteer-powered nonprofit which provides more than 30 Dane County food pantries with fresh, nutritious and culturally relevant fruits and vegetables from its 10 gardens. The organization aims to address nutrition insecurity while prioritizing sustainable gardening practices and community education about the food system. During the last two decades, MAFPG has donated more than 2.2 million pounds of produce to local area food pantries through the support of over 13,000 volunteers.
Citizens Climate Lobby is a volunteer organization that works with our elected officials to implement effective climate change policies in the US and Canada, specifically by lobbying for national legislation. We also build political will by educating our local communities about the dangers of climate change and how we can address them by transitioning to a clean energy economy. The Madison chapter meets every second Saturday of the month.
Wild Ones promotes environmentally friendly landscaping in our backyards, as well as in public areas, by the establishment, restoration and preservation of native plant communities.
