Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens is a volunteer-powered nonprofit which provides more than 30 Dane County food pantries with fresh, nutritious and culturally relevant fruits and vegetables from its 10 gardens. The organization aims to address nutrition insecurity while prioritizing sustainable gardening practices and community education about the food system. During the last two decades, MAFPG has donated more than 2.2 million pounds of produce to local area food pantries through the support of over 13,000 volunteers.
Wild Ones promotes environmentally friendly landscaping in our backyards, as well as in public areas, by the establishment, restoration and preservation of native plant communities. Wisconsin Garden Club Federation -Madison District is an organization that coordinates and promotes interest and activities for conservation, roadside development, civic beautification, the study and practice of floral design, gardening, horticulture and landscape design. We sponsor activities and coordinate with other community organizations with similar interests. The district has 6 garden clubs and covers 13 counties in south, southwestern Wisconsin.
